Poet & lab technician Weyman Chan is no stranger to filling Station. He has been working alongside his Co-Editorial partner, Karin Moen, since last year. But now he bids farewell to Karin to fly solo with the poetry portfolio. This past spring, Weyman launched his fifth poetry collection, Human Tissue (Talonbooks), which explores the intersection of identity, belonging, technology, and bio-speak. His past works include Noise from the Laundry, a finalist for the 2008 Governor General's Award for Poetry; Before a Blue Sky Moon; Hypoderm; and Chinese Blue. Weyman also serves as Secretary to the Board of filling Station.
And so, filling Station bids fond farewell to outgoing Poetry Editor, Karin Moen, who has moved east to pursue professional opportunities. We thank her for her inspired and dilligent work, and wish her luck in the future. It is not a complete parting of ways though; we are very pleased to retain Karin as a member of our transational poetry collective!
